Disney Fun

My family and I just returned from a Disney vacation and we had such a blast! First, a quick visit with ShirleyPerly and her husband. Here's ShirleyPerly and my daughter taking a dip in ShirleyPerly's pool.

Our first port of call was Key West. Duval St. is the main drag, and it always has interesting things there.

I've never seen so many trinkets on a bike!

My daughter is still needs to grow into this sandal.
Fast Buck Freddie's has a great window display. Check them out if you ever get to Key West.

Monday was tea time with the Mad Hatter and Alice onboard the Disney cruise.

Monday was also formal nite on the cruise.

Tuesday, we landed at Grand Cayman and saw the stingrays at the Stingray Sandbar.

We then went to Rum's Point, which was beautiful.
I even managed to do a 5K run, sponsored by Disney at their Castaway Cay, the final port of call.

I then joined my family at the family beach at Castaway Cay, which was huge. Lots of room for everyone. Water was calm. Weather was perfect!

Interested in learning more details about my cruise? Read my cruise critic review here.

We then did a 3 day stint at Disneyworld, starting at Hollywood Studios, then Animal Kingdom, and ending with a 10 hour day at Magic Kingdom.

Anyone know this character?

I never thought I'd love Disney as much as I do now. They do a fantastic job with huge crowds. I guess I never quite appreciated the scale of their undertaking until now. We'll definitely be back for more soon!

What a beautiful family! I am envious of your good times. Soon we'll be having them -- when Isaac gets a bit bigger.

I'd call your trip perfect; lots of family fun AND a 5K race. Good job!

Glad you guys had a great time! And cool that you got to do a 5K too. I think you've seen more of Disney than we have in the 13 yrs we've been in Orlando. And it sounds like you're coming back for more soon?

Disney does a great job. Back whe I was young & cynical, I discovered that only Disneyland and the Grand Canyon lived up to their advance billing (I was more than Not Disappointed). Now that I'm old & jaded, the Grand Canyon still measures up, and I have made a point to see the 4 parks of Disney World. (BTW, Mesa Verde in Colorado comes very close to living up to its advance hype too.)

Wow, looks great!

I'm wondering if you could get away with entering that bike in a tri, that'd be hilarious!
